Leave Your Cares, Ascend With Christ

Sometimes it is the simple things that are the most profound. There is no other God besides Him, tell me what other god gives you His care for earthly cares? Come to the Great Shepherd, allow Jesus to tenderly care for you – trust, surrender, yield these cares to Him and “leave them there”, for He knows your frame and remembers you are but dust.

The Lord is calling you into a deeper realm of trust – it’s a place of abiding in Him, here there is no fear, no worry, no lack, no need, just His tenderness that fills our weaknesses with more of Himself. Go lower still and allow yourself to become more fully dependent upon Him, for this is the most beautiful and profound exchange – His care for our cares. If you are humble enough to trust Him and surrender these cares, and LEAVE THEM with Him, it means they are no longer with you. This is the place you were meant for, union with Him that allows you to ascend above the earthly weights and cares. Thank you Jesus.

“Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps. 55:22.]”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe]. For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭103‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Surrender ~ The Daily Necessity

Upon graduation from Bible College many years ago I was full of zeal, vision, and (some) knowledge. I thought Jesus and I were leaving to go conquer the world… His words to me some months later as I was making plans for my next steps have forever marked me. It’s the basis of my life’s journey thereafter and testimony – “Die to your dreams and visions so I can resurrect them”. And off to “the desert” I went… I had received Vision, but now in greater depth I would learn how to empty myself. Life begins when we end. All life is in Him! Death has always been the start of my life, a paradox indeed! But when you catch His vision, you will be free. As I have been learning over the years, I may say it a few different ways, but the simplicity of the message and dire need of it in the Body will never cease.

As we are transformed by Him, we continue to behold Him; we look and keep on looking just we ask and keep on asking. He is the daily Bread, and daily we must die. However in daily death we find daily resurrection! Jesus is the Life you are searching for, apart from Him we can do nothing.

Surrender is not a one time prayer, but a daily necessity in the believer’s life.

I ask you this question (and to myself as well), “Is the Lord living His life through you today”?

“For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭17‬:‭28‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine!” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also].” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9‬:‭23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Fulfilling The Call

Many people wonder why “the call on their life” is not being fulfilled but a fulfilled call begins with Christ making us holy. As the global body we need to rise in maturity, strap up and put our boots on. We must humbly ask the Father the difficult questions about our lives. Scripture writes that God does not change, He is faithful, and that Jesus will fulfill the call over us by making us holy. I believe one of the main reasons we don’t see destiny fulfilled is because the person has not yielded to the work of the Lord; they run from refiners fire, try to escape testing, avoid pruning and the like. Holiness is a requirement to fulfill the call in consecrated devotion, however holiness is not on your terms nor can you make yourself holy. “Now May the God of peace sanctify you”, His peace is found in the yielding and in the surrender. He is the potter, we are the clay. He is calling us higher friends, there is so much more though it requires a surrendered heart, will you trust Him and place your life in His hands?

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [that is, separate you from profane and vulgar things, make you pure and whole and undamaged—consecrated to Him—set apart for His purpose]; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete and [be found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:23-24‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The Surrendered Garden

There is beauty unspeakable in your act of surrender. There is refreshing because of your yielding. There is gold to be discovered on the other side of your unknowing. There is favor to be poured in exchange for your sacrifice.

Jesus. He is leading, will you follow?

The Father delights in those who surrender their lives, for they look most like His Son as they offer up their will in exchange for His. In the garden Jesus bled, “Not my will but Yours be done”. A costly dowry later paid, and we now generously reap the unstained blood sown into the earth that untangled humanity’s defeat and former nature. Likewise a garden we now have within, it’s ground holds the Savior’s same life giving blood and when tilled, it is filled with choicest fruits and wine. Death has no sting in this garden. Grave has no power. Sin holds no man captive. Sealed with love and kisses of promise are those who gladly yield their life’s harvest. These are the mature sons and daughters manifesting Heaven’s realm into the earth; they are empowered to revive the earth with hope, water her desolate places, and bring the dead to life.

There is no thing the Lord can not do through a surrendered life; no good thing is withheld for it is how Christ is most glorified in you.

“Your favor will fall like rain upon our surrendered lives, like showers reviving the earth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭72:6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

TO SURRENDER IS TO GAIN

What was your first job? You may have not enjoyed it, but I’m sure you remember it’s value to you. I swept the floors along with other janitorial duties at one of my grandfathers Dry Cleaners during my school breaks when I was 11 yrs old and was paid $4.25 an hour. Even a Cleaners needs to be cleaned.

The pay was minimum wage and family was not shown favoritism monetarily. I worked for the business through college, and over the years as I matured my tasks changed and with it pay increases.

In the same way, the Lord is cleansing His Church, and developing His family. He is strengthening and maturing Her so that she can handle more responsibilities. The pay increases can be compared to mature fruit. My last position was helping in the office in accounting. Our last position before the return of Christ we will give an account for the fruit we have developed.

This is a season of divine growth and maturing in the Body if you will yield to it. Some may outgrow you though only because of their surrender. If you want more pay in the Spirit, count the cost and do the work. I guarantee you the Lord will increase whatever you surrender to Him.

“But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus Christ have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with our self-life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-24‬ ‭TPT‬‬
