Fear will hold you captive in a cycle of poverty. Poverty does not only apply to finances – it’s a mindset that effects all your relationships and even interactions; money, people, food, self-worth, quality of life, etc. It reaches far beyond just questioning if there is enough and if you are enough; It will cause you to withhold in spirit, soul, and body because poverty is an entity that directly opposes the nature of our abundant God. Poverty is faith and dependence on anything or anyone other than the Godhead and His Kingdom. Essentially, this is why the world leaves you empty.
The Lord has been trying to free His people of bondages, but seeing the cycles of bondage for what they are is imperative. They are grossly attached to the systems of this world. Jesus came to set the captive free, we are no longer slaves, spiritually or to the worlds systems. Don’t let fear blind you, keep you in denial, or sustain you with its crumbs. You are a son and a daughter in the Kingdom of Heaven, no longer orphans. Knowing the Truth is where liberty is found. There is an acceptance of the distorted mindset that is required to move forward, the Lord has removed the veil, will you choose to see? Even in the very act of repentance the definition is to change one’s mindset, to turn and move forward in the other direction. Be restored to the higher way of thinking – Come up here says the Lord!
“And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”
John 8:32 AMPC
“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
Romans 12:2 AMPC
“All the ways of a man are clean and innocent in his own eyes [and he may see nothing wrong with his actions], But the Lord weighs and examines the motives and intents [of the heart and knows the truth].”
Proverbs 16:2 AMP
