Stay Close and Remain

True and absolute strength is found in our total dependence upon Jesus.

While talking with the Lord I simply uttered “Lord, help me be strong for You”. Not in the sense that He needs my strength, how foolish is that? Though in the sense that I desire to love Him and obey well, be fully committed to Him in all things. After I said this, I immediately had a vision where I was embraced in a hug with the Lord with my head resting upon His chest. To be more than conquerors requires strength, especially in the time and age in which we live.

We can never get away from the simple truth that strength is found in our weakness. Biblical weakness glories in the strength of Jesus because in essence it reveals the decrease of man for the increase of God while wrapped in the mystery of divine union.

Connection is our source of Strength and Strength is developed in union, while empowerment is birthed from union.

Apart from Him we can do nothing.

Furthermore, I don’t want to be separated from Him.

Everything we need is just a heartbeat away. Don’t miss a beat. Stay close and remain.

“I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Where Is The Power?

The Lord said to me yesterday many do not walk in the Spirit’s power because they refuse to walk through times of testing.

The Gospel has never been weak – but the Church and it’s Body are weak when we do not allow the perfect power-filled Word to test us. We do not have endurance because our faith hasn’t been tested. (James 1:2-4). We settle for comfort, and complain God has not “done” for us. The fruit is immaturity that tastes not the sweetness of the Vine.

Maturity is not how much you “know”, maturity is how much you yield. Mature sons and daughters yield to the leading of testing and pruning. The Holy Spirt led Jesus into the wilderness to be tested and 40 days later He came out “armed with the Holy Spirit’s power”. Where is the power? It will be given to you to the degree that you yield to the Holy Spirit.

“From the moment of his baptism, Jesus overflowed with the Holy Spirit. He was taken by the Spirit from the Jordan into the wilderness of Judea to experience for forty days the ordeal of testing by the accuser. He ate no food during this time and ended his forty-day fast very hungry.” Luke‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
40 Days later ….
“Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit’s power, returned to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout the region.” Luke‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭TPT‬‬
