Humility To Receive

“For our fathers did not possess the land [of Canaan] by their own sword, Nor did their own arm save them, But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, Because You favored and delighted in them.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭44‬:‭3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

This is the verse the Holy Spirit gave me by word of knowledge this morning. Psalm 44:3 // 4+4=8 meaning restoration and new beginnings, 3 meaning the Spirit. Receiving the Lord’s favor and delight over you by the Spirit is just as holy and part of the process of receiving the restorative promise. It is truly humbling to receive from the Lord in this regard.

You can not inherit and fully take possession of that which you do not receive. The generosity of the Lord is truly overwhelming and humbling. With inheritance is trust, and with trust there is responsibility.

“Then he said to me, “This [continuous supply of oil] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel [prince of Judah], saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of whom the oil is a symbol],’ says the Lord of hosts.” ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The Lord’s favor is His face illuminated over us, the evidence of His nearness transfers as oil. His Presence. His Voice. Unity with the Spirit like dripping oil from Aaron’s beard; a communion of Oneness, from the High Priest (Jesus) to the high priest – the promise to be one. Many things we are able to inherit and be responsible for, and we are grateful and humbled as that is necessary too; but my true inheritance and stewardship is HIM. If you steward His Voice (obedience, love, reverence) you will be trusted to steward the ‘promised land’ He gives you – in His strength! He is my portion forever! I love YOU Lord!

Keep Me Tender

Keep me tender …
The prayer of my heart.
May I tenderly and devotedly love You Lord. May I give you the praise and affection You deserve. May this kind of love be the overflow of a surrendered and secure heart.

Heaven is attracted to vulnerability and humility. While the world boasts confidence in “toughening up”, Heaven looks upon the meek and lowly. Meekness and humility does not equate weakness, though rather speaks to the posture of one’s heart – a heart that is sensitive to the hand of the Lord, moved by the touch of the Holy Spirit, and who hears and responds to the Father’s voice. The tender of heart are the friends of Heaven, they are the lovers of God, they are the committed followers of Christ.

“I LOVE You fervently and devotedly, O Lord, my Strength.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“And out of your reverence for Christ be supportive of each other in love. For wives, this means being devoted to your husbands like you are tenderly devoted to our Lord, for the husband provides leadership for the wife, just as Christ provides leadership for his church, as the Savior and Reviver of the body. In the same way the church is devoted to Christ, let the wives be devoted to their husbands in everything. And to the husbands, you are to demonstrate love for your wives with the same tender devotion that Christ demonstrated to us, his bride. For he died for us, sacrificing himself to make us holy and pure, cleansing us through the showering of the pure water of the Word of God. All that he does in us is designed to make us a mature church for his pleasure, until we become a source of praise to him—glorious and radiant, beautiful and holy, without fault or flaw.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭21‬-‭27‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].” Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“But the humble of heart will inherit every promise and enjoy abundant peace.” Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭11‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“But the meek [in the end] shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. [Ps. 37:29; Matt. 5:5.]” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37‬:‭11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

““What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“How Great Thou Art”

For too many years we focused on how we can be great for God instead of how can we die to allow Christ to flow through us.

I wrote the above last week, and I believe it’s something worth pondering in our pursuit of loving and knowing God and His ways.

For many the heart was right however we were “taught” wrong. I praise the Lord for those who are redirecting that narrative, and those who will yield to the purity of the message.

When we focus on being great for God we will always come short, because the Gospel was and never is about our greatness but rather the greatness of God. This is how many burn out, especially in ministry as exhaustion sets in from ‘not being enough’.

As Paul writes in Ephesians, “be empowered through your union with Him”, oneness with Jesus is the only way to truly experiencing a fulfilled life. You will do great things, but through divine union with Him otherwise you will be named a goat at the end of the age. It is never about works alone, but rather letting the Worker move through you, it is a beautiful holy partnership with the Lord. Everything Jesus said to us through His Word is perfectly attainable through the power of the Holy Spirit.

May we never cease to remember it is Christ in us the hope of glory. If there be any thing to glory about, may it be that the life we live and have found is IN Christ. He is the Life, we are a branch on the Vine and are truly blessed when we bear fruit – many may see it and enjoy it, but may we never forget the Source of that fruit.

“I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

HUMILITY 🐑

Humility is not self condemning or angst against one’s self. Humility is emptying yourself as Christ emptied Himself, so that He, Christ in you may be glorified in which ever and any way He chooses to express Himself. In other words, personal humility is lowliness (empty of self will) so that Christ may have His full expression through your life.

Mature sons ans daughters allow Christ’s full expression through their lives, as they have come to realize it is pride not to – for if they do not yield it is still a measure of one’s self protecting or preserving even when they have the best intentions to ‘be humble’.

I have struggled with this for many years, friends (and I’m still working on it). But the sooner it clicks and the mindset shifts, you will be free. There’s no freer place on earth than in surrender. Staying small in the name of humility is not helping the Kingdom of God, nor is it bringing the Lamb the full reward for His suffering. Refusing the Lord to work through you or the avoidance of for fear of pride is yet still pride. Humility is a true understanding that it is all about the Lamb – surrendering as a yielded vessel to allow His ways, His voice, His works and His plans be accomplished through you. You are now the tent in which He dwells!

“Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name,” Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“However, let him who boasts and glories boast and glory in the Lord. [Jer. 9:24.] For [it is] not [the man] who praises and commends himself who is approved and accepted, but [it is the person] whom the Lord accredits and commends.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

“There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience. Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it! Christ is our message! We preach to awaken hearts and bring every person into the full understanding of truth. It has become my inspiration and passion in ministry to labor with a tireless intensity, with his power flowing through me, to present to every believer the revelation of being his perfect one in Jesus Christ.” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“The mystery of which was hidden for ages and generations [from angels and men], but is now revealed to His holy people (the saints), To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory. Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One). For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.” Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Full Obedience

“The only way to deal with sin is to destroy it. There can be no prisoners.” ~ RJC

King Saul & King Agag
When you compromise the anointing will lift. Saul disobeys by not destroying ALL the living Amalekites, and therefore the anointing lifts from his life, and now the prophet Samuel is left to deal with the sin and the ‘prisioner’ (King Agag) in obedience to the original commandment of the Lord.

Prophet Samuel to King Saul –
“Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king”.

Prophet Samuel to King Agag –
“But Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.” ‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭15‬:‭33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

King Agag was king of the Amalek’s, in Hebrew Agag is from the same word origin as Age.

Could it be that in our current day, most of our problems derive from our unwillingness (knowingly or unknowingly) to deal with the “king”, aka ruling spirit of the age?

It is really important in this hour that we fully obey the Lord; not just partly, that we may not incidentally end up doing what is right in our own eyes. Partial obedience is not full obedience, which means there is room for disobedience. The Lord knows the beginning from end, and in being committed to Him, we trust Him. We ‘need not know why’, though with simple childlike faith and confidence we obey because the wicked seeds must be crushed. He is the Ageless One, and worthy of what He asks for. When we only partially obey we pass on the iniquity, ‘wicked seeds’, from generation to generation. Then perpetually the wicked seed tries to destroy the good seed. Look at the big picture, the war has always been about the seed. Just as the Lord is birthing His plans in the earth so the enemy aims to birth his. This is the race – and with your free will, you choose who’s team on which you wish to run. And on That Day, the day of the separation of the wheat and tare, it will all be revealed.

“Saul Spares King Agag

“Samuel also said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ” So Saul gathered the people together and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of Judah. And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and lay in wait in the valley. Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. And Saul attacked the Amalekites, from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is east of Egypt. He also took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.

Saul Rejected as King

Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night. So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal.” Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord.” But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?” And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” Then Samuel said to Saul, “Be quiet! And I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night.” And he said to him, “Speak on.” So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel? Now the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.’ Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? Why did you swoop down on the spoil, and do evil in the sight of the Lord?” And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.” So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord.” But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.” And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. So Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.” Then he said, “I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.” So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord. Then Samuel said, “Bring Agag king of the Amalekites here to me.” So Agag came to him cautiously. And Agag said, “Surely the bitterness of death is past.” But Samuel said, “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” And Samuel hacked Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal. Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house at Gibeah of Saul. And Samuel went no more to see Saul until the day of his death. Nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul, and the Lord regretted that He had made Saul king over Israel.”

Forever He shall be Anointed as King

There is one mantle above all we need in the end of the age; the mantle that will guard and protect, shield and cover, coat and secure – it is the mantle of humility. This mantle is from the Lord Himself, His garment they cast lots for, but there’s no gamble here. You can only win His war under this covenant covering. Humility has no prisoner but love.

Kingdom Authority Is Granted Through Serving

Such is the way of the Kingdom~ it will always be a matter of the heart. You will not have authority over anything you are not willing to serve, authority in the Kindgom is granted through servant hood and stewardship; humility in attitude and action. The access point is heart connection to the King of Kings, the greatest servant of all.

“Jesus sat down, called the twelve disciples to come around him, and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be content to be last and become a servant to all.””

Who Do You Know?

Who do you know?

The mind of the world focuses on who they know, while the mind of the Spirit focuses on knowing Him.

We were created to receive validation from knowing God, Adam’s eyes opened to see a loving Father admiring His created son. After the fall, most perpetually seek to be known to fulfill this need, but unfortunately the gaze is fixed in the wrong direction or the wrong Person. The system of this world is still striving to be known but by false gods; each other, people with influence, power, etc. These are false gods when the desire is greater to be known by one another than by the One who created you.

When you focus on who you know on this earth it gives a false validation and sense of identity and belonging that creates pride. It is humility to look to God, to be dependent upon Him, to know His ways, to believe Him, obey Him, and love Him.

“Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says, “The Spirit that God breathed into our hearts is a jealous Lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us”? But he continues to pour out more and more grace upon us. For it says, “God resists you when you are proud but continually pours out grace when you are humble.”” James 4:5-6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Humility is the doorway to knowing and seeing God.

A message chasing me in my lifetime since I can remember – and perhaps it’s chasing you too … Do you know Him?

Becoming The Transformed; Through Humility and Pain

Today I was feeling disheartened and even hurt for ‘good reason’ ~ and then I thought of Jesus. The One acquainted with many sorrows who poured out His life like a drink offering. The King of Kings humbled himself giving the most honorable sacrifice of love and shed his blood for all mankind.

Yet how often can it be said that the Greatest Act Of Love has been overlooked and gone unseen, has not been honored, received, or even acknowledged. The perfect slain Lamb of God, the Savior Himself despised and rejected by men.
And maybe some of those words are familiar to your heart today too…

He received no reward on earth in the eyes of man, He understood His award was prepared and fully awaiting Him in Heaven where He still waits for the fullness of the promise – the promise of reunited hearts turned fully to Him. He fulfilled His own words by saying ““Be [very] careful not to do your good deeds publicly, to be seen by men; otherwise you will have no reward [prepared and awaiting you] with your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭6:1‬ ‭AMP‬. (Meaning He could have done so much more publicly to ‘prove’ His authority but in humility He did only what He saw the Father do). The Messiah held the purest of hearts even in dying for humanity, knowing He was the key of liberation He chose to become a lowly King. He gave without taking, and His last words included forgiving His offenders, ‘for they know not what they do’. ‬

Jesus wrapped Himself in flesh to reveal His Kingship and Sonship to us, as fully God and fully man. Jesus fully man had emotion and experienced pain such as rejection, so it is healthy to acknowledge a source of pain; humanity requires it and Jesus created us to feel. But then we set our gaze higher, acknowledging Him, and allowing ourselves to be transformed by the knowledge that this earth and its afflictions are temporary, taking comfort that in every trial there is an opportunity to become more like Him. Each time we react like Jesus reacted, we become transformed looking more and more like Him, and nothing can compare to the eternal glory we will share with Him! In this world we will face suffering, but how we handle pain can truly liberate us!

“But those who embraced him and took hold of his name he gave authority to become the children of God!” John‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭TPT‬‬

“Therefore we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid]. Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day. For our momentary, light distress [this passing trouble] is producing for us an eternal weight of glory [a fullness] beyond all measure [surpassing all comparisons, a transcendent splendor and an endless blessedness]! So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal [just brief and fleeting], but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.”
