If we are expecting to return to the radical Church birthed in Acts, we must return to radical obedience.
The Lord is calling us to fear Him and keep His commandments. Fear of man was not even a choice with the original Apostles, because they had been with the resurrected Christ and were empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Many are pursuing and crying out for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit, especially as we approach Pentecost Sunday this week June 5th. My exhortation for the Body is what would you do with this empowerment? Are you prepared to obey His leading and commands – are you prepared to lay down your will and your ‘power’ of choice?
“Then Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men [we have no other choice].” Acts 5:29 AMP
When we as believers move in the authentic power of God, it is because one has given the Lord his own ‘power’ in exchange for His. The Apostles had the revelation that the power moving through them was Christ in them the hope of glory. “And now, Lord, observe their threats [take them into account] and grant that Your bond-servants may declare Your message [of salvation] with great confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders (attesting miracles) take place through the name [and the authority and power] of Your holy Servant and Son Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.” Acts 4:29-31 AMP
“For the [true] love of God is this: that we habitually keep His commandments and remain focused on His precepts. And His commandments and His precepts are not difficult [to obey].” 1 John 5:3 AMP
“O our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless against this great multitude which is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”” 2 Chronicles 20:12 AMP
Perhaps there is no physical army against you, maybe it’s circumstances, trials, or the weight of the long transition. Whatever seems impossible in your life, remember the Lords faithfulness. Is there anything too hard for Him?
When we are fascinated by the liberty of the Truth – all that Jesus and His Kingdom encompass, we receive revelation. Childlike fascination and wonder are the gateway to Kingdom living. Application of the revelation is obedience, and obedience leads to discipline. Stewardship and discipline lead to fixation, and fixation opens wide the process of transformation. Fixation requires maturity, and true transformation is a juxtaposition in the Kingdom because it requires childlike faith; The humble shall become like Him.
“Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life! If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning. You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your divine origin. But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of liberty are fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it—they experience God’s blessing in all that they do! If someone believes they have a relationship with God but fails to guard his words then his heart is drifting away and his religion is shallow and empty.” James 1:22-26 TPT
“If you have really experienced the Anointed One, and heard his truth, it will be seen in your life; for we know that the ultimate reality is embodied in Jesus! And he has taught you to let go of the lifestyle of the ancient man, the old self-life, which was corrupted by sinful and deceitful desires that spring from delusions. Now it’s time to be made new by every revelation that’s been given to you. And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with him! For God has re-created you all over again in his perfect righteousness, and you now belong to him in the realm of true holiness.” Ephesians 4:21-24 TPT
“Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom. We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 TPT
In my dream this morning someone in the church was “profiling” me. I believe this is a subject that will speak to many right now. ‘The meaning of PROFILING is the act or process of extrapolating information about a person based on known traits or tendencies; specifically : the act of suspecting or targeting a person on the basis of observed characteristics or behavior.’
There was a video posted with me with some of my body exposed, it was shown from the profile however I knew this wasn’t even my body though it was made to look like me. They were falsely trying to expose and identify me in an untruthful light. Then I went to church (it was a church I didn’t recognize, symbolic) and my reserved seat was taken, it was reserved because I was part of a team on platform. The chairs didn’t flow, you could visibly see chairs had been removed and people who weren’t supposed to sitting in them had taken them, and there were empty spaces in the rows for more chairs.
Similar to this dream, not that long ago the Holy Spirit spoke to me and confirmed with scripture that there were false accusations circulating about me. I knew at least one person was someone close to me. But I actually said, Lord I don’t even want to know.
I believe so many are so close to walking in destiny that these suspicions, accusations and assaults are the last giant trying to take you out before you possess your promise. Don’t fall into the trap! Offense will in turn have you operating in the same suspicion.
This is the test – in the natural love and bless your enemy. In the Spirit, raise your hand and move on. Go low. Release blessing. Watch your words. This is the Leviathan that contorts and twists words to bring division and destruction. (I recently wrote in, “Clean Your House” regarding snakes in the Church). “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Matthew 5:44-45
Maybe it looks like your seat is taken, perhaps it looks like there is no room for you. In the dream I had to fulfill my assignment so I went to the stage anyway, just after discovering this video. In the dream I said to someone, I have to take this down (video). A video, movie, or a clip – it’s something you watch ‘play out’. Don’t become an actor in the enemies theater. Stay focused on your assignment. Do not defend yourself. However in the Spirit, the assault can be dismantled, and the best way is to humble oneself and stay close to the Lord. “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14.
I had a feeling more seats would be brought in to the sanctuary, though I could not wait, I had to take my position even though there was a slight hesitation because of the video. This is your greatest challenge right now, do not let the appearance of things keep you from fulfilling your assignment! Be assured, the Lord Himself will place you in your seat. And maybe you aren’t supposed to be sitting – perhaps it’s time to stand. Immovable. Unshakable.
It was February 9 of 2020, I was leaving church walking to my car surrounded by canopying tall trees and the beauty of nature. There was an unusual Sunbeam that caught my eye even in the dead of winter. All the months of ‘churning’ in my spirit were culminating in this moment, looking at me announcing what I had perceived to be true, “the veil is thin, Heaven is moving closer to earth”. Having had experience in the supernatural realms since childhood, I knew this was all together different, yet I had no words for it yet. All I knew was what the Lord had been trying to reveal to me through visions and dreams and prepare my heart for – at this point He had shown me there was a deep cleansing and awakening coming to the Church. I took the photo attached at 12:10 pm. Mark 12:10 Jesus’ words, “Haven’t you read this passage of Scripture: “ ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;” vs 11 “the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’ ?”” 12 is symbolic of Dominion and Government, 10 is symbolic of testing, and 11 symbolic of Heaven and or judgment. The One who rules the earth is coming to judge – He is the chief cornerstone and He is removing all that hinders His love. The number 9 represents birthing. Little did we know at the time…. we were about to enter a complete rebirth. I believe it is clearer now more than ever that it is no longer a question of “is the supernatural accessible?”, but of which side of the supernatural will you operate. There is a hunger when one wakes from a deep sleep – but what are we feeding on and what are we hungry for? The underworld has been raging waiting to devour and feast upon the soul of man. But there is one Feast I have my eyes fixed upon, The Marriage Supper of The Lamb.
I began publicly releasing the message in the beginning of 2020, as the Lord spoke clearly to me “the enemy isn’t hiding anymore, and neither should you be”. From that time on, I no longer considered myself a ‘undercover’ missionary and at the cost of followers, career and likes I began heralding publicly the alarm for the Church to awake. Two and one half years later the core message hasn’t changed; And until the Lord returns, I will aim to clear a path for Him.
The world has done a phenomenal job at releasing content that conditions the minds and hearts of the human spirit and soul – drawing them in to “the more” that is available in the Spirit world when all along this was the Church’s job.
Rise up Church of Acts, rise up disciples – people will choose one way or another and we will have much to account for before our Lord.
Dying to one’s self is the key to the power of the Resurrected Christ, while exulting one’s self is the key to worldly power. Humility or Pride, choose this day whom you will serve, for you will become like one master or the other.
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”” Joshua 24:15 NIV
I encourage you to mediate on this: when Christ is seen for who He really is, who you really are will also be revealed.
Through the plate of of redemption you are one with Him in glory.
“Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority! Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm. Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ. And as Christ himself is seen for who he really is, who you really are will also be revealed, for you are now one with him in his glory!” Colossians 3:1-4 TPT
“Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:1-4 AMP
Movement May ~ I believe many will see great momentum, movement and miracles in May! Recently I heard in the Spirit, “miracles, miracles, miracles”. Three is the number of the Spirit – there is a complete agreement by the triune Godhead for the manifestation of miracles for the glory of His Kingdom.
“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.
“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.”
The Lord spoke this word to me a couple of weeks ago – “catalytic”. I was journaling about something when He gave me the word I was trying to describe. I heard it, and wrote it not knowing what I was writing. It’s from the word catalysis: the acceleration of a chemical reaction by a catalyst. Catalyst: 1) a substance that causes or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected 2) something that causes activity between two or more persons or forces without itself being affected 3) a person or thing that precipitates an event or change.
For those of you who are wondering why the atmosphere has been even more “swirly” lately – this is why. You may have been experiencing unusual activity, negative and positive. Heaven is pressing into the earth realm and it is creating a spiritual ‘chemical reaction’.
As a feeler, I’ve also been experiencing His presence and the manifestation of the Kingdom differently and in new tangible ways. What the Lord has promised is coming, and it’s going to be wild! Keep pressing into Him, His presence is coming individually and corporately in ways we are not prepared to describe!
The veil in the spiritual realm has been consistently becoming more thin over the last few years, and the Holy Spirit is about to reveal even more to us! It is imperative to prepare your heart in this time for what is to come. Wait for the Holy Spirit, for He will be the One to reveal.
“This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.” 1 Corinthians 2:9-10 TPT
A New Word Of Encouragement To The Global Church Before Pentecost
Amy Sutherland 4.22.22
Clear vision and knowing your assignment make all the difference when given a weighty commission, yet what is essential for completion especially for longer-term and far-reaching assignments is a passionate heart. It is the fire surrounded by purpose that causes one to blaze ahead to the finish line. In the life of every believer is the core mission statement named The Great Commission, and we were given the Holy Spirit to help us fulfill it. In the Gospel of Matthew the final words recorded by Jesus are the first introduction to this commission;“Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed and made appointment with them. And when they saw Him, they fell down and worshiped Him; but some doubted. Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).” Matthew 28:16-20. In the Gospel of Mark we have a even more detailed account of the commission, “Later, Jesus appeared to the eleven [disciples] themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He called them to account for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen [from death]. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed [in Me] and has been baptized will be saved [from the penalty of God’s wrath and judgment]; but he who has not believed will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.” So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord was working with them and confirming the word by the signs that followed.]” Mark 16:14-20.
I believe if we are honest, many Christians leave the vision of The Great Commission up to Evangelists, their Pastors, other five-fold or even other leaders. They may wonder how can my life reach the world? Yet, truthfully, the vision to fulfill this command can seem overwhelming to anyone regardless of title. These leaders may be wondering the same, how do I lead others in reaching the world? In 2009 and 2010 I had the opportunity to spend six months in Africa, the first three months I was attending Iris Harvest School of Missions in Mozambique, serving with Heidi Baker’s ministry. I had so much anticipation in going to the school, I desired to go grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord, though also knowing the ministry operated in miracles, signs and wonders I could not help but dream about what I would experience! I did see healing, I did see miracles, but most experiences did not happen as I imagined – not bad, just different. The Lord spoke to me very clearly while I was there and one word that has marked me since was, “Amy, the greatest miracle is the miracle of the transformed heart”. Above Kingdom affairs and the supernatural life, He was setting things in order that are connected to the center of my calling. And really, this is for every believer, as the first commandment gives mention of this divine order, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being].” Deuteronomy 6:5. We need wholeness of heart to love well; to love God, then ourselves, our family, and our neighbors. Physical healing is beautiful, biblical and one hundred percent what the Lord longs to give us, but it does not usurp the healing of the heart. What good is a physical healing if the heart from which we live is unwhole? “Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.” Proverbs 4:23. One of Mama Heidi’s main messages was “stopping for the one”; the simplicity of the Gospel is loving the one in front of you. I loved that the ministry was so free that it encouraged us to be missionaries wherever the Holy Spirit was leading us; from the homemaker to the business CEO and all in between we are the missionary in the field wherever the Lord has called us – inside the walls of the Church or outside, whether on foreign or domestic soil. While I had already held fast to this truth in my heart, it was liberating to be part of a ministry that empowered the Body in this way.
Before Jesus commissioned the disciples, He addressed their vision which was also connected to their hearts. Matthew pens some of the disciples doubted it was Jesus they were seeing, while Mark pens the disciples would give account (were rebuked) for their unbelief and hardness of heart because they did not believe those who had seen Jesus after He had risen from death. Unbelief is rooted in mistrust and is an issue of the heart, the eyes were the last senses to follow what their hearts were speaking. “The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out fo the evil of his heart produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45. Before the disciples could be used as the first mouthpieces for the foundational building of His Church and the fulfilling of the commission, Jesus had to remind them who they were. These disciples knew the Scriptures, they had been with the Word Himself! Hundreds of years prior Wisdom wrote, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7, and so He dealt with the mind that was causing the seed of doubt. In Greek the word for disciple is mathētḗs, a learner, disciple, pupil and comes from math – “the mental effort to think something through”. HELPS word study defines mathēteúō, “disciple” – to disciple, i.e. helping someone to progressively learn the Word of God to become a matured, growing disciple (literally, “a learner,” a true Christ-follower); to train (develop) in the truths of Scripture and the lifestyle required, i.e. helping a believer learn to be a disciple of Christ in belief and practice.” Before the disciples could be commissioned into practice, they had to believe!
The Great Commission was given after the crucifixion and Jesus understood the disciples were grieving, brokenhearted, and were trying to make sense of the living history they had just been a part of. They had no grid except that Jesus had told them these things would transpire, they were literally experiencing earth shaking events that had never happened before (or since). How beautiful we see the compassion, truth, and reassurance of the Lord at work even in the questioning. Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene after she returned to the tomb a second time and in her weeping, in her grief He came and said, “Woman, why are you crying? For whom are you looking?” and at the sound of her name “Mary!”, she turned and said, “Rabboni!” (John 20:13-16). Mary heard a name to Name recognition in her Beloved’s Voice, formed from her pure and intimate devotion. “The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27. Because Jesus defeated death and fulfilled the prophecy, He could now be seen as her Creator, “But now, this is what the Lord, your Creator says, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you [from captivity]; I have called you by name; you are Mine!” Isaiah 43:1.
As only Jesus can do, He watches over His Word to perform it, being the very fulfillment of the Spirit of Prophecy, He testifies of Himself again on the road to Emmaus on the same day of the resurrection in an appearance to two of His disciples. Concealing His identity, He first caused them to become still to acknowledge the condition of their hearts. “And then, that very day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. And they were talking with each other about all these things which had taken place. While they were talking and discussing it, Jesus Himself came up and began walking with them. But their eyes were [miraculously] prevented from recognizing Him. Then Jesus asked them, “What are you discussing with one another as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking brokenhearted.” Luke 24:13-17. I love the demonstration of Scripture found in this passage that Jesus was revealing through His presence; “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow].” Psalms 147:3,“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18, ““Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”” Psalms 46:10.
As the Lord continued to walk and talk with them, still concealed, He did for them what they could not do for themselves; He opened their minds to understand and process what had just happened. “And [Jesus] said to them, O foolish ones [sluggish in mind, dull of perception] and slow of heart to believe (adhere to and trust in and rely on) everything that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary and essentially fitting that the Christ (the Messiah) should suffer all these things before entering into His glory (His majesty and splendor)? Then beginning with Moses and [throughout] all the Prophets, He went on explaining and interpreting to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning and referring to Himself.” Luke 24:25-27. The Lord Jesus in His patience and kindness came where they were lacking – in their minds. Again in the Greek, a disciple derives its meaning from math, “mental effort to think something through,” and the circumstances and the evidence weren’t adding up yet for the disciples so Jesus provided the answers and helped them “solve the equation”. What happens next causes my heart to collapse in longing every time I read the passage. “Then they approached the village where they were going, and He acted as if He were going farther. But they urged Him [not to go on], saying, “Stay with us, because it is almost evening, and the day has just about ended.” So He went inside to stay with them. And it happened that as He reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. Then their eyes were [suddenly] opened [by God] and they [clearly] recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and opening the Scriptures to us?”” Luke 24:28-32. A burning heart is the answer to life’s equation. You cannot give to someone else that which you do not have. Knowing and loving God, and loving others is the commission. This love reaches beyond death, and its flames cannot be quenched. Passion for God is the fuel needed to finish our race, but there is one more step in solving the equation…
There are many more accounts of the visitations of the Resurrected Christ to His disciples that affirmed the reality of His glorified body and revitalized their hearts in belief (John 20:30,31). However, there was one last command that Jesus gave before the disciples were to be released into their missions; they were to wait for the baptism and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. “Until the day when He ascended, after He through the Holy Spirit had instructed and commanded the apostles (special messengers) whom He had chosen. To them also He showed Himself alive after His passion (His suffering in the garden and on the cross) by [a series of] many convincing demonstrations [unquestionable evidences and infallible proofs], appearing to them during forty days and talking [to them] about the things of the kingdom of God. And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak. [John 14:16, 26; 15:26.] For John baptized with water, but not many days from now you shall be baptized with (placed in, introduced into) the Holy Spirit.” Acts 1:2-5
Once again in the Lord’s compassion and mercy He remembers the weakness of our frame and provides the fuel. We yield, we wait upon Him, and our strength is renewed. It is quite impossible to refuel a moving vehicle. The car must come to a complete stop with the engine shut off to safely refuel. As the disciples obeyed the instructions to wait in Jerusalem, 40 days later just as Jesus promised the Holy Spirit came. “When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place, and suddenly a sound came from heaven like a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were being distributed [among them], and they rested on each one of them [as each person received the Holy Spirit]. And they were all filled [that is, diffused throughout their being] with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues (different languages), as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out [clearly and appropriately].” Acts 2:1-4. The number forty represents testing, growth, and completion. Jesus left the wilderness after forty days of testing and was filled with power, at forty weeks a baby is ready to be born, and we are familiar with the Israelites wandering for forty years and the unbelief in the promise that kept them in the cycle. I believe forty is a number of choice; we can wander in disbelief or wonder in holy awe. Today I pray as you read this that the Lord would restore childlike faith in your hearts, I pray you would come out of agreement with unbelief and cease wandering and begin to wonder at the signs of the Lord once more. I release healing to bind up any broken-heartedness, and I declare you are released from your captivity. I pray your purpose would be clear, and vision would be restored. I pray you would be still and know that He is God, and in the stillness allow Him to complete the work He has begun in you. I pray for a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit that would reignite first love. May your life be forever changed as you are renewed and refreshed to finish your race well. Gaze upon and behold the One in front of you, and cultivate devout affection for His Presence. We need the Holy Spirit to love Jesus, and it is He that enables to love the ones assigned around us and to us. Holy fire grip our hearts once more! Be blessed in your refueling and commissioning and may your burning heart set the world on fire!
“As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God! So consider carefully how Jesus faced such intense opposition from sinners who opposed their own souls, so that you won’t become worn down and cave in under life’s pressures.” Hebrews 12:1-3
“Fasten me upon your heart as a seal of fire forevermore. This living, consuming flame will seal you as my prisoner of love. My passion is stronger than the chains of death and the grave, all consuming as the very flashes of fire from the burning heart of God. Place this fierce, unrelenting fire over your entire being. Rivers of pain and persecution will never extinguish this flame. Endless floods will be unable to quench this raging fire that burns within you. Everything will be consumed. It will stop at nothing as you yield everything to this furious fire until it won’t even seem to you like a sacrifice anymore.” Song of Songs 8:6-7
The Lord is completing the “new thing” He has begun in you!
I took this photo yesterday while I was venturing into nature to pray about some things. Butterflies often represent new beginnings and this painting caught my eye as it reminded me of a very large oversized butterfly I had dreamt about last year. Today in a quick dream I saw 8:4. I knew immediately what it meant. Eight represents the new beginning and four represents the fullness of the this work; four corners of the earth, four elements of earth, four directions – it is a completion for rule.
I felt seeing the 8:4 in my dream was also a scripture and was led with the ‘knowing’ I had of the New Beginning to the book of Genesis “In the beginning”; Genesis 8:4 “And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.” Symboliclly, we see a new beginning for the rule of the earth as this was post flood. Noah and his family landed atop the mountain which signifies rule and authority, though they would have to wait and rest until the waters subsided to leave the ark. It was the 7th month when the ark landed and seven represents completion, the ‘ark rested’ and God also rested on the 7th day of Creation. Stay in His presence, rest and wait for the Holy Spirit!
We are in the same season as the apostles when Jesus, after He resurrected, told them to wait for the Holy Spirit to come before they proceeded with “The Great Commission”. Yet before He commissioned, He declared He had been given all authority and rule. This is also symbolic as the apostles would go forward in this same power and authority. As Jesus said, wait here in Jerusalem, but it won’t be long from now, I too believe He is saying to us, “not long from now”. However, these new wings are not ordinary, they are much larger with greater span and we are also in new territory. Therefore, we need the wind of the Holy Spirit to lead and carry us! He knows The Way – wait for Him!
Timing is different for many of us, especially if you are a prophet or a forerunner. You may already be flying and scoping out the land but the message is the same for all – we must wait upon the Lord for renewed strength. All should be yielding to the process of transformation that changes us from glory to glory.
“While being together and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Of which,” He said, “you have heard Me speak. For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized and empowered and united with the Holy Spirit, not long from now.”” Acts 1:4-5 AMP
