Dailies On The Vine

Restore Us!

Though He is the God who loves justice, He is also the God who grieves deeply. I feel the burden of the Lord in His grief, so much so that’s it’s almost too much for me.

If you are truly called to the Priesthood – and in some way or another all believers are as referenced in 1 Peter, “You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬
and “You have made them to be a kingdom [of royal subjects] and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth.” [Ex 19:6; Is 61:6; Rev 20:6]” Revelation‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭AMP‬‬.
We should feel the grief over failure in His Body. While it is most certainly Scriptural and absolutely true that Teachers will be judged more harshly and held to a higher degree of accountability- yet we must oppose the commercialization of the drama, speak not to prove our rights, ideas, or opinions to one another, or for the sake of pointing the finger across denominations. For is not the Lord returning for One purified and unified Bride?

The Lord grieves over losses.
“The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” 2 Peter 3:9 NLT. Thank the Lord for His patience for we all desperately need it.

There is a separation and divide, for years I’ve been writing that it would increase, and the more the years tarry I realize how much more I am in need of His mercy and grace too, I feel less comfortable speaking up. But for Him..

I open up social media, Christian articles, podcasts and various media outlets and it’s like a Christian tabloid gone wrong – and the information is not hiding.

The Lord does not delight in humiliation, dishonor, and accusations. Not all exposure is unloving, but even the Lord Himself rebukes and disciplines in love.
Where are those who will grieve at the reality of the adulterated Priesthood? What has ministry become? How have we drifted so far from the beard torn face we one adored? It becomes easier to throw up some distance between you and the cross when you forget it was your sin that nailed Him there too.

The Lord will not console our offenses, He will meet us in repentance. Lord Jesus please come and purify your Bride, Your Church.

In the wisdom and fear of the Lord, may those who have their ear to His chest rise in this hour, the true informants who grieve before declaration of reform.

Have we forgotten what the Priesthood is? It is a position of authority to first intercede for the people, and make atonement for sin. Before there was an assembly or a message there was repentance, prayer and intercession. And even to this day, Jesus our great High Priest lives to make intercession for His saints.

When we lead from the soul it will cause great suffering, here is an example when Aaron was left in charge when Moses was receiving the Law in an encounter atop Sinai.

The people of Israel suffered because they were not restrained. They assumed Moses was not going to return from the Mountain and had the golden calf made to worship. Aaron had not learned to demonstrate his God-given authority and now we read this historical account of the detriments of people pleasing as a result. And Moses knowing of their sin as the Lord had already informed him, was deeply angry when he returned, “Then he took the calf which they had made, burned it in the fire, and ground it to powder; and he scattered it on the water and made the children of Israel drink it. And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?””Exodus‬ ‭32‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Aaron blamed the people he was left in charge of instead of leading in the truth, or praying for them. “And Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you that you have brought so great a sin upon them?” So Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my Lord become hot. You know the people, that they are set on evil.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭32‬:‭21‬-‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In contrast, The fear of the Lord is the opposite of people pleasing. Instead of leading by people pleasing, Moses in the fear of the Lord went up to seek the Lord and to ask forgiveness for the sins of the Israelite’s the following day.
Moses not only asks and makes petition for atonement, he also didn’t blame Aaron (as he was the one left in charge). Selflessly, Moses suggested himself as the scapegoat, “Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, “You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin.” Then Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold! Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.” And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book. Now therefore, go, lead the people to the place of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin.” So the Lord plagued the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron made.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭32‬:‭30‬-‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Moses was a friend of God. His reaction to the golden calf wasn’t overreacting, no he understood what was grieving His friend, Yaweh. Moses understood covenant and the Priestly order. Sadly, modern day we make friends with the idolatry systems, professing loudly and convincingly while dancing about in the name of God just like the Israelites and the golden calf, we also shout unto a God who may not know us.

Lead us back to You Jesus.

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.”
‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.””
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Moses wasn’t seeking the favor of man, he was seeking the face of the Lord.
